Rolex Saves an Engine - PICS>>>

Just getting this information in, but definitely incredible - think 'Superman spans the train tracks'... a Rolex Submariner was used to plug a hole in a piston so that a Corvette Z06 could finish a race.

Apparently the engine lasted through the weekend with the watch keeping the piston in tact.

After the piston was removed, you can see where the watch was holding it together:




But unfortunately when the thing finally let go, the watch travelled through the engine ending up in the bottom of the crankcase:






You know that Rolexes are made tough but this is taking it to another level!!!! Pretty awesome!
