Ditch desirable SS pieces for PM pieces?
Hi everyone. Need to run past ideas off you fine members and WIS. In my 30s I've had all Panerai. In my 40s I've had all Rolex.
Currently have 16610LV, 16710, 116520, after gifting Exp1 to my son and 16600 hijacked by my brother. I'm closer to 50 now and been contemplating a drastic change, exit pieces if you will. It won't happen overnight but would love to hear your thoughts and/or lessons learned or similar experience. 2-3 watch rotation is optimal for me, wrist size just under 6.5", work attire is business casual, otherwise shorts and t-shirt kind of guy. 1. Platinum 36MM DD 118206 glacier dial, Patek 5146G grey dial, Lange RG 1815 chrono black dial. One minor concern, while all 3 are my personal grail pieces and would make an awesome trio, perhaps too dressy an option?.. 2. Alternatively, keep 16610LV and 16710 to continue as my daily wearers and trade 116520 for PP 5170G white dial, my Ultimate Grail, for dressier occasions. Would love to hear your thoughts/inputs. Would go grey dealer route for either option. Thanks and Cheers |
