Rethinking my whole approach.
Been thinking about doing it for a while now, and with the Hulk being discontinued, figured I would cash in on the increased value.
Sold my Hulk and Batman. And it wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be. We are in a time of our lives where the money is nice, but not necessary. Part of the reason I sold them off is because I have three other watches: Speedy, Explorer II, Hamilton, and an IWC in the safe waiting for the birth of my daughter. All of these watches mark a significant occasion, college graduation, birth of my son and daughter, and an anniversary gift. The Hulk and Batman were impulse buys. I found myself enjoying them more than my others, so off they went. I have found myself so caught up in the Rolex hype surrounding these hot models that I forgot to enjoy what I have. I keep thinking about what I am gonna get next and forget to live in the moment with the current lineup. I believe purging the Hulk and Batman will help me enjoy what I have and not think about what’s next. Really looking forward to wearing the IWC. Hope to add some non Rolex watches for future milestones as well. Probably Panerai and Grand Seiko spring drive. So will I regret my decision in the future? Possibly. But they are just watches, and I already have a decent collection. Just a rant. Anyone else feel the same? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
