correct bracelet link ratios

I have a SS Sub date M version, I have 5 links inluding the half link on the 6:00 side. I have eight links on the 12:00 side, this includes the diver extension. My question is, has anyone determined a "correct ratio" of links. I know that all wrists are different, but my presumption would be that there is a mythical standard for size and comfort. I currently have the diver pin in the clasp set at one notch in. Any feedback or ideas regarding this dilemma?
