Vintage tudor submariners
Hola Amigos!!
Hello!! I was shown a Tudor Submariner, circa 1972, today. I had never had previous opportunity of having a vintage Tudor Sub in my hand, so I was rather curious about it. Case was identical to 5513 Rolex sub, but obviously with Tudor inscriptions on dial, and marked with depth rating (200 m/660 ft) and word "Submariner" below. Indexes are very rare as they are square Tritum markers, and the hour hand had a very strange shape, with a kind of square on its end. As you may know, I already own Rolex Subs both present and vintage, but this Tudor awakened my curiosity about these beautiful Submariners made by Tudor. IŽd like to learn more about the Tudor Subs and their history. Has this been discussed at TRF before? Do any TRF member have a Tudor SUb like this, of more or less same era? Do they have the same mechanism as Rolex 5513 Sub? Will you show your Submariner Tudors of different refferences in this thread please?? Please advice reference # and year and any comment about your watch! Thanks in advance for your kind attention, and best cordial regards, Abel.
