Quest for a second timepiece

After 5 wonderful years with my Submariner, I’m ready for another watch and have started the quest by visiting my closest AD. When I originally purchased my Sub I had said a BLNR or Milgauss would be my next watch. Now I can’t help but also admire the DeepSea, BLRO and of course Daytona. I would be over the moon with any one of them but realistically, I know the chance of me buying a hot and in demand SS sport model is slim to none in the Chicago area with no AD relationship.

That being said, I have also started to look at a Seamaster 300m and several Tudor models that would actually be attainable. I haven’t seen it in person but the zenith chronomaster sport also looks quite nice. My dilema lies in possibly waiting for a miracle or going with another brand. I’m curious as to what path others have chosen during this time of Rolex drought. What other watches have you guys bought in the meantime?

I would like this next watch to celebrate the upcoming birth of my second child so it’ll be a special purchase for me. Sorry for the lengthy post and thank you for reading.
