Thinking ahead about my collection...and Subs...
So, I'm new here and just started posting a few days ago on your opinion of a DateJust for my first Rolex. While I love the DateJust, I went to my AD and tried on a Sub. I fell in love. It's so classic and instantly recognizable. I've decided on the Two Tone Black dial and bezel. The only reason I didn't buy it yesterday was that the jeweler told me there would be a new model coming out with a ceramic bezel and maxi-dial, like the GMT-II. He advised me to wait, so I am and I'm on the waiting list there. Anyone know when they are supposed to be released?
While there I also tried on the Two Tone with Blue Dial and bezel. The look stunned me and I made the decision that I had to have that one too. While I can't afford both at the same time, I'll have to space out their purchases. My question is this: Is it weird to have two Subs, a black TT and a blue TT, as my first Rolexs? I have considered getting the TT GMT-II in balck, which menas I could go in tomorrow and pick it up, and then get the new Blue TT Sub when it comes out, then I would have 2 different watches, but I'm just not too the big numbers on the GMT-II. I need input. I'm trying to think long-term about starting a collection. Either way, the Yacht-Master in SS and Platinum will be my third watch, so I dunno if that factors into the equation at all too. I'd love any help you guys can offer, and as always pics are encouraged. |
