Tudor 79180 service, RSC say I might have to lose the Rolex crown????
The rotor of my new (for me) Tudor Chrono starting playing the 12th Street Rag so I sent it down to my Son to drop in to Bexley RSC during his lunch-break, he just rang me saying the technician guy says the watch can be serviced & the rotor bearing fixed no problem, however he advised that Rolex "may not" return the watch with a Rolex Trip-lock crown after the service.
My son asked which Trip-lock would be used, a Tudor? To which the guy said that they'll have to think on that!!?? I understand that the crown, stem & seals etc are all replaced as part of a usual service but I don't get not using a Rolex Trip-lock replacement as per the original ?? My son left strict instructions that they should call me before sending the estimate for the repair so we can discuss exactly what will be replaced or substituted. Meanwhile I'd really appreciate your thoughts guys |
