to buy a 2 tone Sub or SD, I can't decide
I'm pulling the trigger on a pre-owned Rolex this week, if I can find one in truly excellent condition.
But I'm going back and forth between a Submariner Date 116613 steel/gold, black, and a Sea-Dweller 126603 steel/gold, black. I had a Sub 16613 steel/gold with black dial that I loved but lost it in a robbery. At first I thought of not replacing it when I saw the current prices, but every time I glance at my wrist for the time and my Sub is not there, I want it back more and more. My wrist requires an 8 1/4 inch bracelet, so I don't think the Sea-Dweller would look totally humongous on me. I like that the new SD in two tone looks like an oversized Sub, but in regard to investment, are Sea-Dweller's in demand and raising in value as quickly as Submariners are? I plan to wear the watch daily, so I'm thinking the SD might be a bit too much bling to have on my wrist every day? Most of you know a lot more about the two watches than I, so I'm hoping to hear any thoughts you might have along these lines and anything I might be missing. Thanks in advance and thanks to this forum owner for making this place for Rolex peeps to meet and share. I've got to learn to type faster and smaller, when I submit a thread I find I've been logged off the forum. |
