Simplifying collection

Popped into Ad and tried in the new date just 36 stainless steel with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet and must say I was massively impressed! Having sold of my other watches I’m left with just the sd4k 116600 and was contemplating selling it to fund the purchase and have spare cash. I’m feeling the 36 mm size and think I am now at a point where I would enjoy the smaller more comfortable fit and feel of the date just after years of wearing hefty sports models and also feel a little sports model fatigue now. Would this be a big mistake as everyone keeps telling me value wise to keep the sd but I can’t stand being swayed by potential values of the future! Would I regret this decision?
