If I were a professional diver, I would use a Rolex. Submariner for shallow/recreational diving and a SD or SDDS for deep diving/saturation diving. The SD and SDDS really only come into their own at depths greater than 300m and since few people EVER go that deep, I think the Submariner can rightfully be tapped as the most desirable (King, if you will).
Since I am only a recreational diver, my back up is a Seiko SRPD777. Does all the same functions as my Rolex, but I can replace it for less than $400 if it leaks or gets lost...
i agree....i wear my sub everywhere...plus its insured in case i lose it in the water, damage it, and etc etc. i have a jetski, i desk dive, dumpter dive, water dive, mow dive, i sub goes everywhere with me...

that is why its numero uno....( number one )
