Is the submariner the king of the jungle ?

Sub is perfect. Don't care whether is king but certainly is a great watch perfect for any occasion, can dress up or down depending on your will, is robust and a watch you can pass on to your kid and still be cool. It's not hype. It has been here before the word hype has entered the vocabulary. I have a 1991 tritium 16610, a BLNR, a 116520, a 16710, a pam 112 but my 114060 is my daily one. Looks great in any occasion and never failed me. What else someone should ask? Never considered if it's good with what I wear or where I am a going to meeting, drink, sea or mountain. It is OK with everything. Especially the no date is simply a perfect one watch.

Are there better divers out there? Better watches out there? Certainly.

But there are not a sub.
