I'm not knocking the Sea Dweller or the Deep Sea, but unless you need one for saturation diving, and almost no one does these days, it's just that the Submariner for most folks is a robust, masculine, and practical watch that is better suited to many people's needs.

Now, if your criteria are purely about depth ratings and helium escape valves, then you're empirically correct.

For a lot of people, it boils down to style, comfort, practicality, and value and that is where the Subs dominate.

I 100% agree with you Grady. I’ve owned them all and all at the same time.

Absolutely nothing against the SD43 or Deepsea, but in terms what I value most in a watch the Submariner is what I prefer and still own.
