Datejust lugs vs sub lugs
Hello everyone,
I am pretty new to the technical details of rolexes, particularly the refinishing/polishing process and I was wondering if someone could help me out. I own a ceramic 114060 sub and the lugs are all very sharp both on the inside and outside of the lug. I just bought a 116233 datejust and I see that the lugs are different, beyond the fact that they’re polished as opposed to brushed. The inside part of all 4 lugs (I.e the side that touched the bracelet) are all very sharp basically perfect 90 degrees, but the outside of the lugs are ever so slightly rounded off. Not round, but definitely not sharp like the inside of the lugs or like the lugs on the sub. I’ve gone through hundreds of pictures online and on this forum and honestly its so hard to tell how it’s supposed to look because of the angles of the pics and the way that the polished finish reflects light. Can anyone chime in on whether in fact on the 116233/116234 models the outter parts of the lugs are to be ever slightly more rounded than the inner parts? Thanks! |
