Daily beater 6542?

Since a 6542 is out of the question as a daily wearer due to price and worry of wearing a vintage bakelite original, the Tudor GMT instantly comes to mind but I have hesitated due to many off putting factors including the fat 41mm case, faux rivet bracelet and the fact that, and I cannot believe I am going to say this, the swiss made Steinhart vintage 39 does one heck of a better interpretation which I consider both to be homages to the original no crown guard GMT as Tudor technically never made a GMT like it did with the Submariner. Removing price from the equation, and it's pretty significant, not only is the Vintage 39 well built, it houses a high grade ETA GMT 2892-2, thinner 39mm (closer to the 6542's 38mm) case with drilled lugs and best of all, homages the illuminated bakelite insert. If Tudor made a thinner 39mm version GMT, It would certainly make it harder. Any thoughts?Name: SteinhartOcean39VintageGMTPremiumBlueRedCeramic2_9515934e-915d-4a2b-adc0-687d8f1b83cc_2000x.jpg
