I love taking the dive watch out now, but when we eventually get our own equipment, I'll probably leave it at home like you and other suggest.
There's LOTS of U/W camera stuff to deal with - - and you thought that watches were complicated???

I've been to the Mountain top and carried full housed DSLR's with dual strobes, and navigated them through tight passageways in wrecks in Truk Lagoon at 150'. It's not for me, as I finally learned - and was willing to admit to myself.

Now? We use an INCREDIBLE little set up, made by SeaLife, that is a housing for your iPhone. And what makes it SO cool, is that you can get amazingly good quality photos with it - both macro and wide angle - pretty easily, and you're carrying around . . . an iPhone! AND, when you're done with your dives in the morning and go to have lunch with everyone - - - - (get ready for this!) - - - - your photos are already ON your phone, and you can pass them around, immediately! STRONGLY recommended.

DM me if you have any questions. And, welcome to the diving family!
