Moser deployant clasp balance
I just picked up a new Moser Endeavour which I’m really excited about, but there’s a bit of a snag: I can’t get the strap with deployant clasp to balance well on my wrist (6.5"). The clasp and case end up way too close together on the 6 o’clock side (probably only about 1-1.5 cm apart, with a much bigger gap on the 12 side) and so it’s impossible to get the watch to sit balanced on my wrist; either the case or the clasp ends up getting pulled onto the side of my wrist.
After comparing it with a Seamaster that I have with strap/deployant, I think the issue is that the Moser clasp folds under the 6 o’clock strap rather than the 12 side. The overall strap length of the Omega is nearly identical, but the clasp folds under the 12 side instead, and so it ends up perfectly balanced, with approximately equal distance between case and clasp on both the 6 and 12 o’clock sides. This works really well on my wrist. The Moser clasp, on the other hand, folds under the 6 o’clock strap and takes up almost the entire length of that strap, leaving only 1 cm or so between the clasp and the case. This makes it impossible for the overall watch to sit comfortably on my wrist. It seems almost impossible to get that clasp to be balanced without having a super super short strap on the 12 o’clock side (and the one on there is already shorter than the one on the Seamaster). I suppose I could just swap out the stock Moser clasp for a different one more similar to the Omega, but I would strongly prefer keep the Moser clasp because it matches the case perfectly and helps balance out the weight. Has anyone had a similar clasp from Moser or another brand that they’ve gotten to balance well? I love absolutely everything else about this new piece, so I would appreciate any advice that would help sort out this one snag with it. Thanks in advance for any help!
