Datejust 41 - received the wrong bracelet from my AD, advice please!
Hi all, long time lurker first time poster. I ordered a Datejust 41 – model 126334-0001 blue fluted (my first!) from a local AD and it just came in, finally. Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication between the salesperson and I, the DJ was ordered with a oyster bracelet instead of the jubilee I really wanted. I am really not a fan of the oyster on a fluted bezel so I am pretty disappointed right now. The AD wasn’t sure if I could order a jubilee bracelet separately but that would incur another 1700 euro in costs, and also recommended that I keep the oyster bracelet as the watch is registered together with the oyster bracelet.
My options at this point as I see it: 1) Tell the AD I do not want the watch at all, and wait another year+ to get the same dial but with the correct bracelet. (argh!) 2) Take the watch and either try to sell the oyster bracelet or just hold on to it as recommended by AD. ( I don’t plan to sell this watch anytime soon so I don’t see the point with holding on to a bracelet I won’t use) a. Is it actually possible to order a jubilee for this model separately? b. Could I sell the oyster bracelet somewhere and get back most of my money? Also, why is it bad to sell the bracelet off separate from the watch? What would you experts recommend in this silly situation? Cheers |
