FS- Rolex GMT-Master II 16710 c.1993
The SAGA:
I have to admit I didn’t always love the 16710. I thought of myself as some sort of vintage “purist.” That was a massive mistake, as these make a helluva daily driver. You can quickly wind the watch, set the date with the isolated jump-hour, then set the time to reference with the hacking seconds. A bit tricky the first time or two, but if I can manage it, I’m sure you can, too. The second lie I told myself was that I prefer the Pepsi insert on these. That was true, but only until I saw this one. The black has a grayish value to it and the red looks like a candy apple; so much depth. Tech Specs: Model: GMT-Master II Reference: 16710 Year of manufacture: 1993 Serial Number: S767XXX Dial: Excellent dial with off-white luminous markers and matching hands. Under UV the luminous material has the characteristic “shimmer” of the era. Bezel insert: Beautifully faded and even coke serif insert Case: Excellent case with prominent original bevels. Light wear throughout. Bracelet: Excellent 93150 with 11 links and 501b end links. Almost zero stretch present. Movement: Rolex Caliber 3185 Accessories: Acknowledging that you’re disappointed when a restaurant serves Pepsi instead of Coke Watch is currently running at COSC spec Scope of delivery: Happy to deal face-to-face in the greater NYC area. Have watch; will travel! Feel free to call/text me at 203·216·9487 or email me at [email protected] with any questions that you may have. Please text prior to calling. International shipping available. Full refund minus shipping costs if not happy after 3 day inspection period. Watch must be returned in the same condition it was sold in. Bank wire preferred. Offered as Shipped/Insured (CONUS/USD): $12,800 |
