You don't need to go back as far as 20 years.

2015/16 I distinctly remember Submariners being available in the window of my local Goldsmiths.

How do I remember?

Well, its the year I bought my first 'proper' mechanical watch - an Omega Seamaster 300.

I looked at & tried on loads of different models & brands before making a decision.

I chose the Omega SM because in my head I couldn't justify the price difference between the SM & the Sub.

At the time I think the Sub was £5,750 compared to the SM £2,150



Man, how things have changed - if only I'd had a crystal ball....
