Time for a Patek

I just bought one of the last rolexes I was looking for on New Year’s Eve. Although I don’t have my 16618 yet, I can’t justify buying one with the absurd prices. I can wait on that until pricing changes.

I decided if I was going to spend 30-40k it won’t be for a 16618, but rather a Patek. I am very new to Patek. My collection is only Rolex right now. I need help on what to look at. I don’t like the nautilus line with the metal bracelets. I want something with at least 1, possibly 2 complications. I want it on a leather strap and would prefer a gold case, but white gold, or stainless is ok. There’s so many different models and sub models it makes my head spin.

What advice or direction can you guys give me. 30-40k budget. Pre owned preferred. I never sell any of my pieces so this is for me, forever, reselling isn’t important. Having all boxes and papers isn’t the end of the world, as long as the watch checks out.
