Rolex datejust 36 - jubilee or oyster?
I have been looking for ways to diversify my investment portfolio and thus would like to buy myself a steel Rolex. I have narrowed my options to 36 mm datejust with smooth bezel and slate roman dial (aka wimbledon). I believe this is a handsome looking sporty configuration and offers real value in todays market. Especially so after the latest price increase.
I know I should buy what I love but I would like to hear your opinions, whether I should go for an oyster bracelet or jubilee. In pictures the polished oyster looks kind of cool but I guess it will be a scratch magnet? Where as I have never seen a modern jubilee bracelet live. Would the jubilee be more comfortable and less scratchy? My other watches are explorer 39 mm and 5-digit bluesy. Maybe I could swap the explorer bracelet to the datejust now and then to alter the look :D Would love to hear some opinions. (Btw, the investment part was a joke. I just want a good watch, which somewhat holds value.) |
