I know this is going to be controversial, but I really do think Rolex “ruined” the Submariner 41. I had the pleasure of trying on an exhibition model today at my local AD and the case size, proportions, etc. all seem to be WAY off. The Sub 40 maxi case (in my opinion) is the quintessential Rolex. The 41 on the other hand seems excessively small and underwhelming. I absolutely love Rolex as a brand and really love my small watch collection (Sub 40, Datejust II, Panerai 111) but I would never buy the Sub 41 when comparing it to the Sub 40.

Thoughts? :)
