FS: 1970s Rolex Submariner Date 1680

For sale is my vintage Rolex Submariner Date ref 1680.

Case: Excellent case with thick, sharp chamfers. Serial and reference clearly visible. Fat font bezel shows slight wear and has aged to a matte finish. New genuine Rolex top hat crystal was installed by Rolliworks in 2019.

Dial: Mark I "white Sub" matte dial in good condition. Dial and hands have aged to a nice light cream patina. Date wheel is the correct brushed silver, open 6/9 type.

Strap: Comes on a Phoenix admiralty grey NATO.

Notes: Dial has one very faint line around 3:00, to the left of the date window. Serial is 441xxxx which indicates a service case. Watch is running strongly and keeping time well.
