Watch hobby … business relationship catalyst

I’ve been blessed to travel quite a bit lately, and during those trips, I have had business meetings with some pretty cool people, some of whom share the watch passion, but have a lot more money to spend on watches. Regardless, they only care about people who love watches with passion.

Here’s one example.

That RM11 belong to the head of technology for a UAE holding company we visited seeking investment. It was cool to speak to him after our meeting about watches.

On same trip, stopped in NYC on way back from UAE and after one of our meetings, talked watches with guy wearing stainless 5712. After meeting, just said, “Nice 5712”. He thanked me for noticing and commented something like, “Nice LV sub”.

I have to say, I remember those two more than others, so it’s a cool hobby we have.
