Collection Realignment (Explorer heavy)
It’s good every now and then to re-evaluate your collection and move some pieces you’re not wearing. These watches we love are meant to be worn!
A few things I’ve realized over the years with watches: 1. I’m not a dress watch guy. I want to be, but then I never wear them. After two attempts, I think I’m done with them. I had a Grand Seiko SBGW-231 before the DeVille. Both stunning watches that were rarely worn. 2. I’m a Rolex guy. I want to be a watch guy, but at heart I really love Rolex. 3. Like my screen name says, I love the Explorer line (original and II). I’ve tried many other models, but always come back to the Explorer range. 4. I’m really getting the gold bug. I’m turning 50 in 13 months and would really love to add a Day-Date. I’m hoping they come out with a blue dial option with yellow gold! I just moved my two Omegas to good homes. My collection is down to the steel Explorer and the two tone Explorer now. I’m next on the list for the new Polar Explorer II at my local AD. They always come through, so I’m hoping to get it sometime this year. Day-Date in 2023 to complete the collection? Not likely if I continue to hang around here, but I’m happy with the plan.
