Picked this up with a little story….
I mentioned in a couple threads over the past few months that my father had passed away in Dec 21. He left behind a few things for my sister and I. He was a watch guy but mostly a car enthusiast. He had a number of odd watches and a couple Rolex. His DJ two-tone 36mm, was what he wore daily, had it serviced a couple times over the years, and it’s what I remember seeing on his wrist most every day. Wore it with no cares, never babied it, and wore it with anything. I think that’s where I got my …being a wearer vs a collector.
I love the watch because it was his and it reminds me of him every day, and I’d never sell it. Me personally, I don’t like anything smaller than 39mm for myself, so whilst I’d love to wear it, it just doesn’t fit to my eyes. So…I thought I’d just honor that watch and him in my own way/perspective …. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
