resizing a 93150 bracelet for a small wrist (suggestions welcomed)
Dear fellow TRF members,
I recently acquired a sub with the original 93150 bracelet from the early 80s. My wrist is quite small and although I resized it to fit my wrists by removing links ( there are now 5X5) and adjusting the clasp all the way to the tightest hole, the head of the watch sits unevenly on my wrist as does the clasp. I read somewhere that some recommend having an AD or RSC remove one of the permanent links from the 6 o'clock side, however, wouldn't that technically not work since the links taper from 20mm at the lugs to 16 at the clasp? Also would doing this damage the collectability of the original bracelet? Would it be better to buy another bracelet on ebay and have that one tampered with? Thoughts and suggestions warmly welcomed!
