Vacheron Overseas pin screw fell out

Very recently, I acquired a new VC Overseas. Beautiful thing, versatile watch. Worn it a couple times on the rubber strap. Today I wore it on the full bracelet for the first time. After a very long day, taking off my watch, I saw the pin screw for the lug was nearly completely out. I was in total shock. I didn't realise this probably because I was wearing a long sleeve shirt. But oh my... what if I dropped the watch like that?

This is a watch that's less than a week old, straight from the VC Boutique. I'm wondering is this a misstep at the manufacturing level (screw wasn't tight?) or is this a design flaw, with the bracelet/strap clamp being very strong, could potentially unloose the pin screw?

had anyone had this happen? I certainly haven't experienced anything like this from any of my other watches.
