New Potential Buyer Experience
So I've stopped by my local AP Boutique in Beverly Hills a couple of times now. First time was 4month ago and the second more recently. I had inquired about the "lists" for the Jumbo and other watches.
Understandably, they will not even consider putting your name down for a Jumbo without previous purchase history. They really wanted you to at least consider a less popular piece first, especially the Code 11.59 (which is not something that I like or that fits my wrist) or a lady's piece. So I did put my name on the list for the 37mm Royal Oak and the 38mm Royal Oak Chronograph. Apparently those are "realistic" per the sales associate. I have a relatively small wrist so the 41mm's are out of the question, and I'm not even sure a Jumbo is ideal. The whole process with AP is interesting as they really want a resume of your interests, philanthropic work, career, and current watch collection when submitting your requests. Has this been the experience of others? How realistic is it to get the previously mentioned pieces without a purchase history. |
