That's exactly it. In this case you can't use the AW's features. So in my view the installation of these sensors for this version is a simple waste.

I appreciate Apple. I think they are making extraimly good things, and AW is the product that changed the world forever. But when they use it for a purpose that makes it lose its essence, then it will be purchased mostly by the trendy young people to flash how cool they are.

I somehow don't think, but I can imagine that a professional diver or climber will trust his life to such a watch. However I don't think it would be a good idea to tell the idiots that "now they can bravely dive or climb a mountain" if they have such a watch. IMO in the idiocracy, it's not a good strategy.

More precisely, I'm not at all against this watch concept. So, for example, in my opinion, for not very extreme sports such as mountain biking, swimming, surfing, kayaking, it seems very reasonable to use this reinforced version, because you can wear your watch on your wrist in these sports. In these cases this casing could really be a feature and not a bug.
