INCOMING!!!!! Inbound grail and very special timing as well!

Hey everyone, first off, thanks for everyone's posts, pictures, stories, etc... This is truly a wonderful community to be a part of. Now to the good stuff!

I was at my AD last month to discuss the process of purchasing an engagement ring. I told her that I had a special vacation planned for September 10th through the 19th with my girlfriend and felt that it would be the perfect timing and setting to finally pop the question after 6 years and 9 months together! Little did I know I would be walking out that day with a ring that was perfect in every way possible. My SA advised that it would also be great to celebrate and mark the occasion with a watch I've been wanting. I threw out a shot in the dark and said, "Boy it would be super great to get a Rolex with GMT function." She knows I travel between the east and west coast a bit and am going to Doha and Dubai later this year and would love to have a GMT watch to use!

She asked me which one I really wanted. I know I didn't want the black dialed Explorer II and wanted something with a bit of color to pair with my Sub Date she sold me just a couple of years ago. So I took a shot in the dark and expected a chuckle and to be turned down politely and I said a Pepsi.

She was upfront and honest and said that Pepsi's are usually for customers with a little more spend history and my spend history all time only consists of my Sub Date from 2020 and an engagement ring that day. She said, "However, I know that you truly love and are passionate about Rolex watches and I want to make this happen for you. I'll speak to the owner, get you on "the list" and trust that I will get you one as soon as I can."

Well just under 4 weeks later, I got the call today and I almost fell out of my chair. She greeted me and said, "I know you're traveling tomorrow for a vacation and have your proposal on deck but we have your watch for you to have and celebrate the occasion with!"

I jumped out of my chair, told my boss that when the AD calls you with a grail of yours, you gotta go! I was there within 30 minutes, chatted for a bit, and am so happy and grateful to add my 2nd Rolex ever to my small modest collection! We fly out in the AM so I'll be bringing my Pepsi in my travel case along with her ring. I'll be officially wearing it for the first time when I get down on my knee to ask my best friend to marry me in about 18 hours from now!

Pics to follow here shortly!
