Well... Baseball isn't like your other ball and stick sports. Where basketball players that are not playing, they are in suits or casual wear. Same with football players, where they are in sweats or gym attire when they are not in uniform.

While these guys are "in uniform". They are not playing in the rotation. So it does look abnormal that they are wearing watches... Managers do it all the time. Especially Aaron Boone. He's always wearing a time piece!
