Vintage Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665 Mk1 Unpolished

For trade or sale is my 1665 Rolex Seadweller, in all original, unbelievable condition, from 1977.

I never thought I'd be letting this one go as it is one of my favorite pieces in my collection. It is among the best Great White 1665 examples I've ever seen.

I've owned the watch for almost two and a half years, and purchased it from a very well-known vintage dealer. I have the receipt, which included a full service, and a pressure-testing. The watch is telling amazing time - I timed it last week and its running -0.3 secs.

The case is in unbelievable condition, and has never been polished. I'll let the pictures do the talking here.

The case serial number is 5.37m, dating the watch to 1977.

The dial is absolutely perfect. I've louped it countless times. There's not a single mark, scratch, or imperfection on the dial. And none of the white hashmarks around the edge of the dial have been touched, scratched or smudged. The large lume plots on the Mk1 dial makes the dial really pop.

The 93150 bracelet, with 580 end links, comes with 11 links plus the diver's extension, and has a VC clasp code. The bracelet has very little stretch if any. I have no reason to believe that this bracelet is not original to the watch.

The insert is beautiful. It has a noticeable fat font, and a kissing 50. The bezel ring is so sharp and crisp.

I'm happy to discuss the history of the watch privately. But its a very special piece, and has never been listed for sale on the forums before.

If you want the best example that I've seen surface in a long time, for a 1665 Great White, here it is.

As far as trades, I'm open to all Rolex, vintage or modern, but must be unpolished. I am looking for a 16710 Pepsi no-holes full set, but am open to many other ideas.

I can probably arrange to have the watch shipped from within the U.S.

$27,000 USD shipped and insured.
