I was in the same boat as you in terms of loosing interest at times. But I knew the sub was my dream watch so I just kept being persistent with my local AD’s since it was a 40th birthday present. I was able to get one within 4 months and I’m glad I didn’t go the grey route. Just be patient and it will happen.
