Finally! perfect fit on Black Bay ETA

After 4 years, I finally achieved the perfect fit on the Black Bay ETA

Like many others, my only gripe with the OEM Black Bay bracelet was the inability to get a perfect fit. It was always either too loose, or too tight. Hence I always wore the watch on a NATO.

Some of you may be familiar with the half link offered by Uncle Seiko. Well they only had them for the riveted bracelets of the newer in-house models.

Recently, they now offer a half link for non riveted bracelets! It’s the M79540 half link intended for the BB41 and Tudor Heritage Chrono.

The half link did require some additional modifications as the male section was just slightly too thick. I clamped it down and filed it with 1500 grit sandpaper on both sides and now it integrates perfectly into the bracelet. Also the pinhole had crud in it so I had to file that down with abrasive cord.



It definitely isn’t the same quality as the rest of the bracelet but since I am using it on the 12 o’clock side it hides right under the clasp and will never be noticed.
