Patek Philippe Nautilus Jumbo Steel Black Power Reserve 42mm 3710/1A

Up for sale here is a very special entry in Patek's Nautilus lineup. While the original Nautilus (3700) was discontinued in 1990 (only the 3800 at 38mm continued until 1998), the 3710 represents the return to the 40+mm size after 8 years of only midsized offerings.

Measuring 42mm across the flanges and 40mm from 10-4 o'clock (the same as the modern Nautilus), the 3710 feels and looks absolutely incredible on the wrist.

The 3710 also incorporated many unique features not seen on any other Nautilus, such as the matte black dial, Roman numeral hour markers, Railroad track minute markers, and most interestingly- the "shooting star" or "comet" power reserve indicator. The subdial of this complication actually turns as the mainspring is charged and discharged, a feature I've not seen on any other timepiece!

Unlike modern Nautilus variants, this model still features the original monobloc casing as designed by Gerald Genta. This allows for the Supreme thinness of the case (only 8mm!) and also the high water resistance rating of 120m.

One final bit of greatness in this watch- the lume is still Tritium! This is a year 2000, and Tritium use was stopped in 2002. So between the comet power reserve, Roman indices, matte black dial, and monobloc casing, this is a very special watch indeed!

Comes with all original paperwork, tag, and booklets as delivered from the AD. Also comes in a new style box, which is a far nicer presentation than the old boxes which have all been falling apart and flaking severely. Nothing worse than picking up a prized watch in your collection and having a piece of the box rip off stuck to it! (Sticky button flashbacks...)

Asking price is $92,000.

I always ship priority overnight, fully insured.

Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or would like to make an offer! I can send more pictures, show you a video, etc.

I have plenty of references on forums, FB groups, ebay, etc, so deal with confidence! I'll do what you need to make this a comfortable transaction.

I also love to trade, and will accept most brands and models of luxury timepiece towards this one. Mostly interested in other Patek, AP, Vacheron, RM, Rolex, Omega, Hublot, Panerai, Zenith, etc. I can do cash either way or multi-watch trades for the right deal!
