New arrival, long awaited Day-Date

I was very pleased to take delivery of the newest addition (228238) to my small collection this morning. The watch collecting bug first hit me 20ish years ago, but I recall lusting after this one's older siblings in magazine ads well before that. I drove my wife nuts debating dial and index combinations, but ultimately went with the classic champagne/stick indices as I'm no arbiter of fashion and I figured what's worked for the last 60 years will probably suit me well.

I don't post much, but I do frequent this site and find it to be a great resource for keeping up with the hobby. Thanks for all of the information and entertainment. Happy Holidays, and I hope that 2024 brings everyone happiness.
