When it arrived, he slugged down his double shot in one gulp and motioned for another.

"Jeez Fred," commented Earl, "you must really be having a bad day!"

"You got that right," Fred replied. "I had my annual physical today and the doctor told me I had Tom Jones syndrome."

"Wow, I never heard of that. But based on how you're taking the news, must be bad!" Earl exclaimed, "Is it rare?"
