Ceramic Pepsi bezel - faulty then?

Not a big fan of the reference, so apologies if this has been discussed before.

I’m aware though of the issues that Rolex have apparently had applying the red to the Pepsi bezel.

If they have stopped making them due to technical issues, does this not make any that have made retail actually faulty in some way?

Seems logical if a technical reason has stopped their production at some point, that whatever was produced before is not quite ‘right’? 🤔
