Replacing non SEL with SEL bracelet 16710

Hello all,

Pardon my ignorance, I am new to this forum. I was wondering if it is possible to put an SEL bracelet on a reference that originally has hollow end links.

My dilemma is: I like Pepsi GMT with faded and tropical dials but also like solid end links. 16710 watches from early 2000s that have SEL usually do not have the tropical look I desire.

My thought was that I could purchase a 16750 or earlier model and purchase an SEL bracelet to attach, if it will fit.

I’m open to any suggestions.
