Polish or new bezel

Bought a submariner with significant scratches to the bezel and bracelet.

The bracelet will likely polish up. Should I polish it if I get a new bezel?

The bezel has deep scratches.

If I trade the watch in the future should I get a new bezel first? Or is it as broad as long?

My thoughts are “ a used genuine bezel costs £850. But a dealer would likely deduct £1,300 for the damage”.
