Hers and His. Yacht Master
I’ve owned my YG Yacht Master for a while now. My wife had stoppped into the Rolex AD at our local mall and spoke to an SA about getting something for me, and keeping it a secrete.
The SA said that would be great but hard to do, what was I (the husband), looking for. My wife told the SA about my collection and my interest in a Sky-Dweller on Oyster. The SA was great with my wife but still wanted me to come in and sent my wife home to retrieve me. We went back together, talk for quite a while and I shared my collection with her. She spotted my YG Yacht Master and ran to the display and pulled the RG Yacht Master 37 from the case. Offered it to us and said it would make a great hers, to match my his. Of course if was available, its a precious metal watch, these are easy to get. My wife loved it, and has nothing like it in her collection of nice watches. I told the SA, (who I have never bought from before) that I would get the watch for my wife, but only if I’m next up on the sky-dweller. The SA can’t make promises like that, but said they take real good care of their customers! Ok, let’s start the relationship. So long story short, I bought a new watch for my wife that matches, sort of, my YM. What a great job by the SA to pry us lose of our wallet, and hopefully, will be the start of a great new AD relationship. …and the watch’s look good together. |
