Thank you for all of your replies. Most of you are suggesting a watch with date and I agree which puts the Sub no date out of the frame.
The GMT IIc is a nice watch but he does not want the new style case and would be stressed by the pcl. So it is down to Sub date, GMT II classic or SD. In the US there are lots of sellers on TRF but apparently is a bit of a nightmare regarding import taxes. The current favourite as I type is the Sub date as he can get it bnib. I know that he would go for the GMT II classic if it was still available from an AD. Still it all makes for a lively debate!! PeterT |
