Sooooo frustrated with Rolex Service Center

Okay... I sent my 20 year old Submariner to New York for service. Here is what I requested: overhaul, new bezel insert, new crystal, bracelet repair. Here is what they recommended: all of the above + new bracelet ($950.00), new caseframe ($1950.00), new dial ($270.00), new pair of hands ($54.00), new second hand ($27.00). Here is what we came up with: factory movt. service-pres prf, bzl insert & tube ($555.00), 1 x brac-93150 20mm S/St Oys Fliplock w 501B ($950.00), 1 x Sapphire Crystal ($135.00), 1 x Winding crown, monobloc ($105.00), Shipping and Handling ($35.50).
After paying $1780.50 and waiting what seemed like ages, I finally had my watch back in my hands! I had heard for years how Rolex could restore an old, scratched, time-worn watch and restore it to like new condition. When I opened the shipping box, I was shocked and disappointed to see my scratched, worn watch attached to a brand new, shiny, pristine bracelet. Apparently, because I chose not to purchase a new caseframe, NOTHING was done to my watch case, as far as cleaning, buffing, polishing, proper brushed finish on case lugs, etc. AND the bezel on my watch is so hard to turn, I thought the sideways torque applied to the end links was going to rip them free from their moorings. And this was with dry hands sitting at my desk. I can't dare imagine trying to adjust the bezel with wet hands while diving. So I spoke to a representive on the phone at the service department. Apoligies, apoligies, Sir, we'll send you a shipping box right out today, blah, blah, blah. So now, after patiently waiting almost six weeks and paying almost $2000.00, I must ship my watch BACK to New York. So far I have invested $63.00 just to shuttle my watch back and forth. I haven't shipped it out yet for the second go round, but when I do, there's another $30.00 I have to shell out for shipping. Wow. Sorry for the long post.. I'm just tired. Just plain tired.
