30+ year old women's DJ

Hey all, quick poll here. I just took my mother's 30+ year old DJ in for a full service and overhaul. It was her mother's before that, and I'm certain neither of them had it serviced (ever). The bracelet is very loose and the watch is clearly a relic in appearance. It's so worn, in fact, that I'm certain a polishing will just give the watch a "melted" appearance (every original detail now smooth and boring).

I think i'm going to just have everything replaced to really give the watch a new life. New crystal, face, hands, bezel, case and bracelet. What do you think?

P.S. sorry for not posting before pics, but i'll be sure to post "after" ones.
