Pre Owned DJ For Wife: Worth The Savings & Heartaches?
I can pick up a Z Series 36mm DJ pre owned from a reputable jeweler and save roughly $600.00 as opposed to buying from a "good guy". It is a once in a lifetime purchase so Due Diligence is prudent. A few questions.
Seller is not an AD however they claim the watch comes serviced with a one year warranty. I wonder who serviced the watch if at all and I assume there is no way to judge if the service was performed. The Jeweler appears to be quite reputable however since they are not an AD and probably do not have a certified Rolex tech on site do I need to be concerned about how the service performed? Watch comes complete with boxes, paperwork, etc. Lastly I would like opinions regarding whether it is worth saving $600.00 to buy pre owned or is it wiser long term to suck it up and pay the extra cash? Common sense dictates that "A Rolex is a Rolex" so what is the difference? After all if you send in your watch to RSC they come back in the same condition as new. On the other hand owning a new piece makes it feel like it was yours from birth so to speak. Mods: Please delete if inappropriate. Mods: If inappropriate please delete. |
