Changing the bezel to a ceramic one

I have salivated over the SS sub date for the past three years, I am comfortable purchasing the watch after almost two years checking this forum and educating myself in my first Rolex purchase. But after reading that they would most likely be changing the bezel to a ceramic one in the coming year this has left me scratching my head. Should I wait another year? I wanted to get your feedback on his subject.

And if I do commit to a watch at present which SS Sub Date model year is it?
