Ceramic products are subject to breakage if hit by sharp force, this is not news.
There have been 2 or 3 confirmed instances of breakage or loss over the past few months on these forums. And, face it, the insert falling out is just as much a loss as it cracking to sharp impact. The insert has it's good and bad: mine has suffered hits that surely would have scratched my old aluminum inserts, and not shown a sign of any suffering; on the other hand, a sharp impact could chip or crack or break it. |
