First Post and GMTIIc question

Hi guys,

This here is my first post so if I step on some toes, please smile.

Right- here goes: I am the proud owner of a two month old TT Daytona and had thought that was the beginning/ end of my Rolex collection as I was more into Omegas.

Famous last words! After four weeks of lurking on this forum, I "discovered" I must have me another Rolex.
I had focused on a TT Sub (the iconic Rolex) but then thought a TT GMTIIc would give me more bang for my buck.

I spoke to my AD about this and he had casually mentioned GMT's had a problem in India because of the 5 1/2 hr time zone issue.
I hadn't quite grasped this off-hand remark (and had gone ahead narrowed down my search to the exact model and the day I was going to pick it up) when I happened on an old thread that mentioned just this matter and the cold hard fact: the timezone bezel on the GMTIIc only moves in 1 hour increments.

Is that right?
Say it ain't so guys!

Any advice appreciated- do I go back to the sub? Any work-arounds this half hour issue? And nope, subtracting half hours from time zones will not do!

Thanks for reading.
